Our Monastery in Rome is called Sts John & Paul's

Oldest part of the Monastery

Here is the oldest part of the monastery. Long before the Passionists were given this house in 1773 there had been other religious communities in residence.

Since then new wings have been added to accommodate students from many different countries and also to provide the necessary space for General Administration.

A Retreat House has gathered many saints and holy people for the Spiritual Exercises and it was here that Pope John XXIII made his retreat for Ordination when he had finished his studies in one of the Roman seminaries.

Another quadrangle...

Another quadrangle of buildings lies to the left. Beyond the garden is the Colosseum, whose top structures are on the same level as the garden.

Towards the garden

Looking from the window from the top floor to the left of the tower towards the garden.
